In 2014, Nikita moves to Asia where he creates several new projects - including Transition Time, Diaries of a Sailor and I and Thou, that were shown in Russia, China, Brazil, Denmark, US and other countries. At the time Nikita's career lifts to a new level - his practice of I Ching and discovery of a Buddhist tradition in his family highlights on new themes and topics that give new dimension to his work. Mixing European, Russian and Asian cultures he develops his own unique style that exists on the junction of civilizations - Western and Eastern. Nikita explores Christian narratives, mixing them with Jewish philosophy and adding Buddhist unjudgmental contemplative visual form that shows unity of the world at the time. Nikita always had a strong feeling of time and always depicted it in his works.
Next projects (Presence, Seeing the Essence, Broken Hope) show rapidly changing world that is moving towards a crisis. Presence series shows a special state, a feeling of some sort of emptiness, and at the same fullness as if something was present and absent at the same time. Seeing the Essence project talks on important topic of change and transformation. Broken Hope series was created in Cambodia and talks on very important narrative for all Nikita's future work - connection between human, nature, spirits and planet. This project broadly explores Khmer culture, diving into casual life of modern Cambodians, often showing life of rural communities and those who are rejected by the majorities. This project explores Cambodian historical, cultural and religious heritage and links Russian and Cambodian history and visual narrative.
Nikita's work has been always innovative and experimental. In Broken Hope series he comes closer to documentary photography, still staying at edge of art photography. He mixes classic storytelling with experimental view - in his work trees and stones can speak, sky can be a character and plate of fruits can tell a story of a whole generation.
He continues to exhibit his work internationally at such venues as FotoFest in Houston, TX, USA and publishing it in various magazines (Phases, Greece, New Art Studies, Russia and others).
